Boudoir photography is a growing trend in the industry and I was fortunate enough to be asked by Margie at fresh images, to be her primary makeup artist to collaborate with her for her boudoir shoots. I obviously jumped at the chance to be a part of this, as I am a strong believer that every woman is and deserves to feel beautiful. Boudoir photography is a photo session where women get their hair and makeup done and wear beautiful clothing that make them feel sexy and confident. These photo shoots are sometimes given to their partner as gifts, or often the women just do it for themselves to gain confidence and feel good. This trend originally became popular because women wanted to do something creative to send to their husbands over seas. When I am a part of these shoots I get to see first hand the confidence that is created in these women and it truly is an amazing experience for them. I love hearing about how good these women felt after the shoot, and even if the pictures where intended for someone else, they leave feeling great and with a whole new perspective of themselves. I have worked with Margie since she first had an interest in boudoir and I have seen her work really evolve into something amazing. She has done training and has really studied the art of boudoir photography to learn breath taking angles and poses that flatter any women with any body type. These sessions can be themed, done privately, or you can get a group of women together and do a boudoir 'girls night in' party. I often find myself speechless when I see the end results of these pictures and highly recommend this experience to women everywhere.
