Jessica's Wedding

Posted by jachacosmetics

On August 27th, puffy eyed and tired from my delayed flight the night before, I got to do the makeup for Jessica's wedding.  I am so thankful she was the bride I had to do that day, as her relaxed attitude and the fact she had allowed for extra time, let me work a little slower then I was used to on a regular wedding day.  Her and her wedding party actually sat on the couch and watched TLC as I did the makeup, which was not a sight I am used to on the day of the wedding.  Quite often brides are a little more stressed and running around finding last minute things to do .  But not Jessica, she was calm as can be and made for a very enjoyable morning of makeup.  Jessica wanted a soft smokey eye for her wedding day, but because she doesn't always wear a lot of makeup she didn't want anything over the top.   I decided to use a dark green colour instead of black( Mineral Matte Shadow in Olive Slate) to not only soften the smokey eye look but help make her eyes pop.  I then used a highlight that is a mixture of gold and silver(Mineral Pressed Shadow Sandstone) and followed with a soft silvery green colour( Mineral Pressed Shadow in Emerald Mist) all over her lid.  A lot of times brides will ask for the smokey eye look, but not really want a full on smokey eye, so its all about adding colours to soften the look while still giving you the drama you want on your wedding day.

Thank you Rebecca Zinger from Heritage Photography for providing me with these beautiful images.  Thanks again Jessica for choosing jacha minerals to be a part of your wedding day.
